Hack4Impact is an innovative problem solving process that exposes youth and professionals to areas of public sector markets, technology industries, and the marketing and advertising field.

Using an assembly line approach, we convene subject matter experts, professionals, community stakeholders, and public officials to leverage technology and social capital to solve some of the most pressing challenges in our city.

We believe that our communities already have the resources within them to make the change we want to see happen, but the “change maker ecosystem” is highly inefficient. Therefore, we’ve developed programming to serve as a catalyst to provide the change that is so desperately needed in communities across our city.

This 6 month cohort program yields solutions for our community, designed by our community. This also exposes youth specifically in the Southern Dallas area to various professionals and career fields. Also, our program establishes a pipeline for HBCU and regional colleges to recruit and retain talent in the DFW area, and as a result of this program we seek to present solution oriented technology to our city officials to adopt and scale city-wide.

Program Kick Off

We are kicking off our Summer 2017 Cohort with an initial Ideation Hackathon as part of the Pursuit Dallas Teen Entrepreneurship Conference, sponsored by Capital One, on Saturday, April, 22, 2017, at the Juanita J. Craft Recreation Center in South Dallas.

This event is open to all youth ages 13-18 who are interested in learning more about becoming entrepreneurs and having an impact on our city.
